1983. Will be a 5mb metric 2.3.
I wouldn't belong to a club that would accept me as a member (Groucho Marx).

Thanks :-beer ! It's a 3 bearings!

Unusual, should be a 5mb metric engine for 1983.

Oops, I was replying Clément who was asking about mine, not Chisler's :)

I agree a S3 from 1983 should be 5 bearings of course, and it will most likely be more „refined“ than mine! (if that word can apply to a Series Land Rover… :-beer )

I replaced the 3mb petrol in my Series 3 about 25 years ago with a 2.5 petrol which of course is a 5mb and it's definitely more refined in Land Rover terms anyway.

Hi Chisler,

A number of us are off to Knighton in a few weeks for our annual greenlaning/camping explore session.

You are more than welcome to join us, or pop in on an evening and say hello! :)

Details here too: https://www.series123club.co.uk/newforest/index.html

Dates: 14-17th May

Details below:

Camping & Greenlaning in Herefordshire/Powys - Wales
A long weekend camping in Herefordshire with a view to explore the local greenlanes across the border in Powys/Wales. Very relaxed. The plan is literally a case of turn up, pitch tent look at OS Map and go off exploring the countryside.

Great. That would be awesome.

Thursday evening/Friday evening and Saturday evenings are best. As for times, depends when we get back and what's gone wrong.

You are of course welcome to join us laning if you are free. Better to pop down on the Thursday evening and have a chat, as we will have routes/GPX files and group set off times. :)
