Rebuilding a 1972 series 3 - a retrospective thread

I have re-built my 1972 early series 3, my first foray in to full rebuilds.

Works included:
new MEAR galvanised chassis,
genuine bulkhead shot blasted and hot galv dipped.
Top end engine re-build
re-built santana gearbox
powder coated axle houses
new suspension (parabolic springs, shocks, bushes)
New brake lines and cylinders.
new auto sparks loom

I will upload posts to this thread in the order I did the work with photos, this is a retrospective thread as the car is finished and being enjoyed on the road.
