Brake drum

Post by Chisler »

How do all
Can anyone clarify the size or part number for the brake drum securing screw
Series 3 1983 88”
I purchased 2 off eBay and they were listed as
Series 2 , 2A , 3 and early defender
However they don’t fit to the threads don’t match
They are too big..
Doing the wheel bearings on both rear sides I found them both missing, poor show and bad practice shown by the previous owner.

Part number is 1510. Blanchard's have genuine ones.
I never buy Land Rover parts (or anything else).from Ebay because inevitably it's crap.and not fit for purpose.

Have the drums been replaced ?
If so the threads could be metric

The drums are ok it’s the threads in the hubs that the screw won’t fit
I have just ordered 1510 genuine parts from Blanchard’s thanks to Neil for the heads up

The same screw 1510 is used throughout the Series 2, 2A and 3 range.
