Polbeth gala day I attended last year and met the gala committee decorate my trailer so this year doing same but wonder if there a banner or two I can attach either side of land or trailer depends what space they leave , also if anyone wants to come along with there landys dressed up or with a float now I ask this especially as next year is there 80th and they want to make it big and memorable so be great if folk could help make that happen in anyway they can .
So this year is Saturday 29th the parade leaves from firs car park which is on left coming from Livingston on a71 they plan to leave around 10:30ish , it goes around lower park of polbeth village up to primary school where we stop and the gala queen and others all go get there pics taken it also a handy spot as pub the Murray there if folk need loo or refreshments then it travels over main road to go around top half till reaching the football pitch where parade ends at this point visitor's children can partake in events visitor only plus adult .
There is events from Friday every day weather permitting from adults three legged race starting at the Murray and believe back over 18’s £5 per team starts at 7pm sun Tues thur there’s is other events which unsure if open to out of village visitors but can find out .
So if you can help or want to just come along to watch then I see you about I be daft one in the red baron lol cheers John

As of today the polbeth gala day committee have been unable to get a band to play at the gala parade this Saturday after being let down .
If anyone plays the pipes or band that can come save the day please pm me asap
At present I’m strapping my stero to roof of landy playing pipe band music as loud as it will go plug into a inverter as means to have it as it always been a band leads parade and this is for the kids so any type of band that can march walk or towed that can play on the day it be very appreciated.
Email me wilkies32@hotmail.co.uk if you can help .
Cheers
John

Well nobody from clubs I’m in turned up or did the banner from one sent .
But it was still a great day and kids loved the Willy wonka theme on landy and the group of the kids in trailer just seemed to grow but they all had fun and end of day that’s what counted
Cheers
John
