I skimmed my drums a few weeks ago as the pedal was pulsating. Its much better but not 100%, I've been advised to try and find genuine ones. Handy thread 🙂

I've heard that keeping your foot on the brake pedal when stationary for long periods can distort cheapo brake drums . Mine are genuine Land Rover ones.
Blanchard's are likely your best bet. Failing thst, LOF sell Land Rover brake drums but I don't know what they're like.
Blanchard's have both but various choices for 591039.
591039 is the 10 inch drum and 576974 the 11 inch fitted to the front only of post July 1980 SWB and 591039 up to July 1980 all round then rear only post July 1980.

I'm aware of keeping your foot on the brake whilst stationary, thankfully I learned that lesson a long time ago on a car ( disc braskes, same principle). Great information, thanks for posting that Neil.

Let us know how it goes. Getting the springs correctly fitted is absolutely crucial.

Will do, a mate of mine who owns a military 101
Has made me a tool that he uses on his 11” brakes
Reckons it makes it a lot easier
Will be doing them in a fortnights time this weekend and next weekend I very busy with my work, earning to to spend on the landy haha
