Post by Neil Bymouth »

This event is being held Friday to Sunday 11th to 13th September. Classic cars, motor cycles etc and vintage farm machinery with ploughing.
Its location is Old Stockbridge Road, Stockbridge, Hants SO20 6JP . What 3 words ///liquid.hindered.doors
I'll be attending just the Sunday this year which is the best day.
Camping available.
I wouldn't belong to a club that would accept me as a member (Groucho Marx).

Only 4 Land Rovers in the display. A 1980 Series 3, a 1957 Seties 1, my 1975 Seties 3 and a 1988 Defender, all were short wheelbase. We were parked right at the edge of thr field and I never met any of the other owners. The weather was a bit disappointing but thr tractor pulling was great to watch.
For some reason I can't post photos. I keep getting a yellowish triangle when I try.
I am always on the look out for Whitworth spanners and one stall there had 3 small ones for a fiver. I offered a maximum of £3 and after consulting his financial adviser on the next stall, the seller wouldn't budge so I walked away. A few stalls further along I saw an open ended Britool 1 inch/7/8 Whitworth spanner. I asked the price a fiver. I paid up without haggling. Unfortunately no photo as the site won't allow me to post any.
This brings my collection of Whitworth spanners to 49 ranging from 1/8 to 9/16 in 1/16 increments plus the 1 inch ring and open ened ones. Most came from the local Men's Shed shop in town
