This weekend, I've fitted inertia reel seatbelts.
Easy job, and much better than before!

Overdue oil change. So much easier with the 2.5 engine's spin on filter.

The dog and I went to the Stockbridge Vintage Club classic vehicle show at Thruxton on Saturday. Only 4 Land Rovets thete another Series 3 swb on a W suffix plate but with what looked like a 3 mb 2.25 instead of the correct black and terracotta 5 mh, a suffix H soft top 88 2A and a retired Fire Service Ford engined ( Tdci). Defender.
A pleasant day and I drove in the arena parade of commercials.

Looks good (actually better than I expected!), even with the Roamerdrive and Slick shift gaiter!

Checked and set the tappet clearance, they were quite off.

Should be all set for the loooooooong drive to Sixpenny Handley in July… hopefully!

Near side rear hub bearings replaced this morning
TimKen bearing kit used
Really enjoyable working on my landy undercover in the barn whilst it rained on the roof along with the chickens chattering away to one another haha
Next on the list will be the front hub bearings replacement and servicing of the free wheel hubs.

Yesterday I put the landy on a friend’s auto lift and industrial power washed the underside.
Been so hot here I know it’s completely dry underneath now
Tomorrow I’m spraying the chassis with Dinitrol
Then inside the cavities I’m spraying Waxoyl
The weather forecast for tomorrow is not so hot here should be a bit more comfortable in hazmat suit haha
